Activities & Attractions
Cornwall has a host of activities and attractions for all tastes (and far too many to list here) so we recommend that you follow the links to the right of the page to the Visit Corwall web site for inspiration.
In the village there is a Post Office, Chinese restaurant and The Britannia Inn. A hearty breakfast is included during your stay and for lunch or dinner we highly recommend the Britannia Inn & Waves Restaurant just a few minutes away.
The Britannia is a friendly 16th Century Inn and Free House open every day offering a wide range of home-cooked food ranging from à la carte to bar snacks (click on their web site link for more information). Penarth Guest House clients can also enjoy a discount at The Britannia Inn, please ask us for details when you arrive.
For those who like nothing better than visiting historic castles, houses and gardens there are plenty! One of the most visited attractions in Cornwall is the Eden Project (just 5 minutes' drive from Penarth Guest House). Also nearby are the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House and Gardens and the castles of Caerhays and Restormel
For the budding or serious angler, fishing is available please ask and we'll be happy to arrange this for you. Just a few minutes away on foot, you can visit the largest indoor market in the south-west at Par.
For golfers, we are just a few minutes away from six golf courses:
St Austell Bay (9 hole)
Use the links to the right to visit the clubs' web sites.
We have negotiated discounts at many of the attractions in the area so please feel free to ask us what we can recommend for your stay.
